THE CHALLENGE:

Jaega Wise is a chemical engineer, multi-award winning brewer and broadcaster. She presents BBC Radio 4's The Food Programme, co-hosts Beer Masters with James Blunt on Amazon Prime, and is the author of Wild Brews.

Jaega came to me needing a personal website ahead of her debut book launch. She had a high public profile: television, radio, publishing, brewing. But no single online home that held it all together. She contains multitudes - and her website needed to as well.

THE APPROACH:

The solution was to lead with the person, not the CV: her various roles as chapters of the same story, not competing credentials.

The visuals needed to be clean and authorative, and fun. The yellow was the unlock. Inspired by a golden pints of lager, it reflects the visuals of her book, while creating a tone that is as crisp and as cold glass of IPA.

The other non-negotiable was self-sufficiency: the website needed to grow with her career, so it needed to be super simple for her to add to.
